On June 4, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, nearly 50 experts in research and development (R&D) and representatives from the personal care industry gathered for the “Confidence in Everyday Beauty Creations” seminar, jointly organized by VICTA Trading Joint Stock Company – a member of Asia Ingredients Group (AIG) – and global specialty chemicals leader Nouryon.

The event showcased next-generation ingredients that address the rising demand for personalization and sustainable beauty, while highlighting the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in product innovation – marking a significant step forward in R&D processes.

Natural and Personalized Solutions on the Rise

Today, personalization, proven efficacy, and eco-friendliness are key drivers in the development of personal care products. In skincare, consumers are increasingly prioritizing products that reduce irritation, protect the skin, and slow down aging. In haircare, there is growing interest in damage-repair solutions tailored to specific hair conditions. These evolving preferences create new opportunities for cosmetic brands to innovate.

Mr. Cheak Wan Yee – Technical Service Manager at Nouryon – presenting AI-driven skincare formulation solutions.

At the seminar, Nouryon experts introduced a portfolio of scientifically backed ingredients that deliver exceptional results for both skin and hair care, including Hydrovance® Xtend for long-lasting hydration, Structure® M3, an anionic co-surfactant that helps reduce irritation, and Armocare™ VGH-70 and Armocare™ Aqua 12, conditioning agents that enhance hair softness and repair damage.

These ingredients are ideal for minimalist formulas, helping businesses reduce costs while aligning with the growing green consumption trend in Vietnam and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

Mr. To Duc Qui from Rohto-Mentholatum Vietnam shared: “I highly appreciate the ingredient innovations introduced at the seminar. They offer a balance of effectiveness, aesthetics, and safety – essential qualities for developing formulas that meet the increasingly high expectations of today’s consumers.”

BeautyCreations™ – AI Assistant for Product Formulation

The seminar also featured BeautyCreations™, an AI-powered platform that assists developers in searching, customizing, and building personal care formulas based on specific needs.
By suggesting textures that match user sensorial preferences and target consumer behaviors, BeautyCreations™ ensures precise formula recommendations through a scientifically validated screening process. This significantly enhances cosmetic companies’ innovation capabilities, shortens R&D timelines, and boosts their competitiveness in a fast-evolving market.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh from Nature Story noted: “The seminar offered a comprehensive view of trending skincare and haircare ingredients – especially eco-friendly options that many beauty brands are actively seeking. It’s a very encouraging sign for the market.”

Mr. Arun Samuel – Regional Sales Manager at Nouryon – delivering his speech at the event.

In his remarks, Mr. Arun Samuel emphasized: “Our nature-based, scientifically validated ingredients, combined with AI integration in R&D, support the sustainable beauty movement. The partnership between Nouryon and VICTA unlocks greater innovation opportunities in Vietnam’s personal care industry and delivers more value to consumers.”

The seminar paved the way for innovation-driven collaboration between VICTA, Nouryon, and local beauty brands.

This event opened up vast collaboration potential between VICTA – Nouryon’s official distributor in Vietnam – and domestic beauty and personal care brands, fostering a creative and sustainable beauty ecosystem in step with rapidly evolving global trends.
