Ho Chi Minh City, February 21, 2025 – AIG Asia Ingredients Corporation (“AIG” or “the Company”) announced the establishment of the Strategy Council and the appointment of a new Chairman of the Board of Directors (“BOD”), marking an significant milestone in the company’s long-term development strategy. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Thien Truc will step down as Chairman of the BOD to take on the role of Chairman of the Strategy Council and continue as a Member of the BOD. Mr. Bernhard Hackl has been officially appointed as Chairman of the BOD, effective March 1, 2025, succeeding Mr. Thien Truc.

This decision was approved by the Board of Directors of AIG at the first-quarter 2025 BOD meeting on February 21, 2025. The new appointments ensure a smooth leadership succession, helping AIG optimize its resources, drive business transformation, and capitalize on opportunities for international cooperation and investment.
The Strategy Council will play a key role in formulating and executing strategic plans for the Board of Directors, and other significant decisions for the company and the AIG Group. As Chairman of the Strategy Council, Mr. Nguyen Thien Truc will serve as a strategic advisor to the company. He will focus on planning investments for key new projects and the development of raw material areas, supporting AIG Group’s strategy of applying high technology and deep processing in the production of natural food and beverage products. This aims to leverage the potential of Vietnam’s tropical agricultural resources.
Throughout his leadership, Mr. Nguyen Thien Truc has guided AIG to become one of Vietnam’s leading food ingredient enterprises.

The new Chairman of the AIG Board of Directors, Dr. Bernhard Hackl, is a highly experienced leader in the ingredients and food industry. He has held senior management positions at major corporations such as Azelis, Brenntag Asia Pacific Pte, Wacker Chemie AG, and Wacker Chemical Corporation. As AIG’s Chairman of the BOD, Dr. Bernhard Hackl will enhance the company’s global connection, increase strategic partnerships, and expand AIG’s new business into international market. He will also shape AIG’s long-term strategy, leveraging all available resources to drive growth and optimize profitability.
