- Strategic Tax Planning & Optimization:
- Develop, implement, and manage effective tax strategies to minimize the overall tax liabilities of Asia Ingredient Group and its member entities, while ensuring full compliance with all applicable local and international tax laws.
- Identify and evaluate tax planning opportunities and risks related to new business initiatives, product launches, operational changes, mergers & acquisitions, and internal restructuring across the group.
- Provide expert and commercially astute tax advice on various business transactions, contracts, and operational matters to ensure maximum tax efficiency.
- Drive initiatives to leverage available tax incentives, reliefs, and grants relevant to the food ingredients industry.
- Tax Health Check & Risk Management:
- Conduct regular, comprehensive tax health checks and reviews across Asia Ingredient Group and all its member entities to proactively identify potential tax risks, exposures, and areas for process or policy enhancement.
- Implement robust controls and procedures to mitigate identified tax risks and ensure strict adherence to both internal tax policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of tax audits, investigations, and disputes with local and international tax authorities, including preparing necessary documentation, communicating effectively, and defending the company’s tax positions.
- Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and submission of all corporate income tax, Value Added Tax (VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing documentation, and other relevant direct and indirect tax filings for Asia Ingredient Group and its member entities.
- Ensure meticulous compliance with all tax reporting requirements for statutory accounts, group consolidation purposes, and internal management reporting.
- Coordinate effectively with external tax advisors, auditors, and legal counsel as required to ensure accurate and compliant tax operations.
- Tax Regulation Monitoring & Implementation:
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and interpret changes in local and international tax laws, regulations, and pronouncements that are relevant to the food ingredients industry and AIG operations.
- Translate complex tax legislation into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior management, finance teams, and other relevant departments within AIG.
- Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and provide necessary training programs to ensure the effective and seamless integration of new tax regulations into daily operations and financial systems across all entities.
- Advisory & Business Partnering:
- Act as the primary subject matter expert and point of contact for all tax-related inquiries and matters for internal stakeholders across various functions, including Finance, Legal, Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Operations within AIG Food Ingredients.
- Provide clear, practical, and business-oriented tax guidance and recommendations that support strategic business decisions and operational initiatives.
- Foster strong working relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective tax management.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Tax Law, or a closely related field. A Master’s degree or a professional tax qualification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax, with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior lead role, gained either in-house within a multinational corporation or with a reputable accounting/tax advisory firm.
- Demonstrated expertise and proven track record in strategic tax planning, conducting comprehensive tax health checks, and successfully optimizing effective tax rates based on regulatory frameworks.
- A strong understanding of, and practical experience with, tax regulations and compliance specific to the manufacturing or food ingredients industry is a significant advantage.
- Exceptional ability to interpret complex tax legislation, analyze its impact, and apply it effectively to real-world business operations.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, senior leadership, and external parties.
