AIG and ACC Continue Supporting Young Food Industry Talents at FID 2025

Asia Ingredients Group (AIG) and Asia Chemical Corporation (ACC) have once again joined the “Food Innovation and Development 2025” (FID 2025) competition as Gold Sponsors. This marks the second consecutive year that AIG has supported this prestigious academic platform, reaffirming its commitment to fostering high-quality human resources and promoting innovation in Vietnam’s food technology sector.

On June 14, 2025, FID 2025 officially launched in a fully virtual format, drawing nearly 900 attendees. The nationwide competition is organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST), the National Startup Support Center (NSSC), and the Global Innovation & Technology Platform (GITP).

Empowering the Next Generation of Food Innovators

Held annually, FID aims to discover and incubate creative, practical, and commercially viable food product ideas. With the 2025 theme “The Future of Food,” the competition focuses on sustainable development and next-generation food technologies. This year, it has attracted students from more than 20 universities, colleges, and academies across Vietnam, and has extended its reach to participants in Asia and beyond.

FID also serves as a dynamic bridge connecting academia, businesses, and industry experts to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem in food technology. Outstanding ideas will have the opportunity to be realized through startup investment programs, mentoring, and commercialization support.

Building a Future-Ready Workforce for Vietnam’s Food Industry

Since 2024, AIG and ACC have actively supported FID as part of their long-term commitment to nurturing talent and encouraging innovation within the Vietnamese food industry. This year, the Group continues to expand its involvement through hands-on initiatives that empower the next generation of food professionals.

In addition to financial sponsorship and technical mentorship for participating teams, AIG will organize factory visits, R&D center tours, and site explorations within its operational ecosystem. These activities offer students first-hand exposure to real-world production environments and help sharpen their understanding, enabling practical solutions to grow and contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s food sector.
