AIG shares responsibility with the community
On 17 November 2025, Asia Coconut Processing (ACP), a member of Asia Ingredients Group (AIG), officially handed over a charity house to the family of Ms. Than Thi Bay in Tan My Hamlet, Tan Thanh Binh Commune, Vinh Long Province. This is one of many social welfare initiatives AIG has been implementing across its sourcing regions.
From Safe Housing and Clean Water to Sustainable Livelihoods
Ms. Bay’s household faces extremely challenging housing conditions. All four sisters are elderly; three of them suffer from serious illnesses or accident-related complications and are unable to work. The old house was severely dilapidated, with rotten walls, rusty roofing sheets and a low-lying earthen floor, posing significant safety risks.
Following a recommendation from the Commune Farmers’ Association, ACP fully funded the construction of a new house for the family. The house was completed within two months, providing a safer living environment and greater stability. Mr. Nguyen Minh Thanh, General Director of ACP, shared: “This initiative is part of our long-term commitment to stand side by side with communities in our sourcing regions, where local people are directly connected to the Group’s supply chain. We will continue working with local authorities to support more charity houses in the near future.”
At the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tan Thanh Binh Commune, recognized ACP’s contribution to local socio-economic development. He said: “In Tan Thanh Binh Commune alone, ACP has developed more than 450 hectares of organic coconut, creating stable jobs for 841 households. ACP’s timely housing support for disadvantaged people helps ease social welfare pressures and creates a more secure foundation for vulnerable households.”

On 16 October 2025, ACP had handed over the “School Rehabilitation – Clean Water for Children” project at Tan Thanh Kindergarten in Hung Nhuong Commune, Vinh Long Province. The project focused on three key components: upgrading the playground, renovating classrooms and restrooms, and installing a standardized water filtration system. The initiative improves the learning and living environment for young children and addresses local priorities in child care.
Multiple Programmes Addressing Essential Community Needs
As a leading group in natural ingredients production and integrated ingredient solutions for the life sciences sector, AIG places people at the centre of its development strategy, demonstrated through quiet yet deeply meaningful community actions.

AIG is promoting a model of sustainable socio-economic development in raw material areas. Comprehensive investments in deep-processing plants in key regions are the most concrete expression of this strategy. From pioneering the coconut value chain in Vinh Long (ACP), to cassava-based ingredient production in Nghe An (AHS), to extracting essential oils and natural aromas from indigenous materials such as cinnamon and star anise in Hung Yen (ASI), leading aloe vera processing in Khanh Hoa (GC Food), and deep-processing tropical vegetables in Tay Ninh (MDG)… AIG is helping increase the economic value of local raw materials while supporting stable livelihoods for farming communities.
AIG technicians provide on-site training to farmers in raw material areas, helping them reduce risks and increase sustainable income.
The Group collaborates with local authorities to provide technical training, guiding farmers on harvesting, handling and storage processes that meet higher standards. At the same time, AIG ensures stable offtake to mitigate market risks, increase household incomes and improve the quality of life for farmers in its sourcing regions.
These efforts demonstrate how AIG’s sense of social responsibility is being translated into concrete actions — from social welfare and education to long-term livelihood development. AIG’s spirit of sharing is also reflected in its long-term initiatives that invest in future generations. The “Cánh Diều Á Châu” (Asian Kite) Scholarship, founded and organized annually by Asia Ingredients Group, has become a solid bridge of opportunity, granting access to education for hundreds of outstanding students and those living in particularly difficult circumstances.
Over more than 24 years of development, guided by the principle of “HELP US – HELP OTHERS – FOR A BETTER LIFE”, every social program implemented by AIG goes beyond fulfilling corporate social responsibility. These initiatives help build a harmonious connection between local communities, businesses and farmers, contributing to the advancement of sustainable agriculture and creating long-term value for both the supply chain and society at large.
