AIG accelerates market expansion in South Korea

Asia Ingredients Group (AIG) recently advanced its international growth strategy by presenting its premium ingredient solutions at Seoul Food 2025, held from June 10 to 13. Building on its presence at Thaifex Anuga Asia 2025 in Thailand and SIAL Shanghai in China, AIG continues its mission to bring deeply processed Vietnamese agricultural ingredients to high-standard markets across Northeast Asia.

AIG connects with key trade partners in its pursuit of the South Korean market.

South Korea, a major importer of agricultural products with an annual market value exceeding USD 38 billion, is shifting its focus toward traceable, nutritious, and internationally certified processed goods. This transition presents both challenges and opportunities for Vietnamese suppliers aiming to move up the value chain from raw commodities to advanced processed ingredients.

AIG’s tropical fruit ingredient products attract strong interest from international buyers at Seoul Food 2025.

As one of Asia’s leading food trade exhibitions, Seoul Food 2025 brings together over 1,600 companies from 45 countries and territories. AIG’s participation marks its growing presence in this premium market and reflects its commitment to expanding the global footprint of Vietnam’s value-added agricultural exports. The Group’s highlighted product lines include IQF tropical fruits, canned coconut water, and tropical fruit purees.

Leveraging Vietnam’s unique biological resources and tropical climate, AIG positions local fruits as internationally viable inputs for the food, beverage, and nutrition industries worldwide.

AIG’s internationally certified puree and IQF fruit ingredients, along with canned coconut water, meet South Korea’s strict market requirements.

In South Korea, AIG partners strategically with Narea Food Tech, a leading distributor with deep market insight and a broad network in the Northeast Asian premium food sector. Through its participation at Seoul Food 2025, AIG actively fostered new trade discussions aimed at expanding distribution and growing market share across South Korea and neighboring countries.

Free trade agreements such as the Vietnam–Korea Free Trade Agreement (VKFTA) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) offer a strong foundation for AIG to scale its trade network. These agreements are particularly timely, as Korean importers increasingly seek suppliers with stable production capacity, transparent sourcing, and the ability to tailor products to local consumer preferences.

AIG’s globally benchmarked ingredient technologies target the international food and beverage industry.

To meet the rigorous demands of high-standard markets like South Korea and Northeast Asia, AIG has developed a vertically integrated ecosystem. This includes standardized sourcing regions, advanced processing facilities, focused investment in research and development, and a growing international distribution network.

Technology is a cornerstone of AIG’s advantage. Its puree, IQF fruit, and canned coconut water lines are manufactured using state-of-the-art quality control systems that comply with HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, SQF, and IFS standards.

Crucially, AIG prioritizes sustainable and organic farming practices in its sourcing strategy. By managing quality at the source, the Group ensures traceability and consistency — critical requirements for accessing high-barrier markets such as South Korea, Japan, Europe, and North America.

With its agile manufacturing and trading capabilities and an expanding global network, AIG is helping to reposition Vietnam from an agricultural supplier to a hub for modern ingredient solutions. This strategic transformation not only elevates the value of Vietnamese crops but also paves the way for a new generation of homegrown enterprises to join the global value chain — equipped with advanced technologies, holistic solutions, and a strong commitment to sustainable development.
